Intergrate paynow in any Codeigniter/PHP platform

I am currently working on some projects that I would prefer to use Paynow APIs for payments rather than Paypal. I am seeking for the best api or code that can assist me. I am still new to paynow but I think like how paypal works, we must have api key or api id for paynow I don’t know.

Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.
